Clark Cookie Bars Recipe

Remember Clark Bars? Well, I tried really hard to come up with something that would taste similar. Friends and family seem to think I came pretty close with this one.

Ingredients
- 1- 16 ounce package of graham crackers, crumbled
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 1/2 cups smooth peanut butter
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
Directions
- Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, butter, peanut butter and confectioners' sugar.
- Press this mixture into the prepared pan.
- In a small pot, melt chocolate chips and condensed milk together over a low heat.
- Stir until mixed well.
- Spread the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter mixture.
- Chill the cookie bars for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.
- Cut and serve.
- Makes about 2 dozen.
- ***If you try it, and have ideas that would improve it to taste more like the candy bar, please feel free to let me know!!!!!***

Jaie, I made these tonight to take to my Aunt and Uncle who are in nursing homes. I always take something; cookies, brownies, etc. They get a lot of enjoyment sharing the treats with the nurses, staff, etc. These are wonderful and so quick and easy to make. Thanks for sharing! My husband suggested I leave some home for him...I'll probably have to make a pan just for him.
