How to make it

  • Saute onion & sausage until browned & crumbly
  • Drain excess fat and sprinkle lightly on rolled dough
  • Break up spinach & sprinkle over sausage
  • Add a few spoonfuls of smashed tomatoes then top with a little grated cheese
  • Sprinkle lightly with olive oil
  • Roll into long loaf, pinch in ends
  • Let rise on a cookie sheet for an hour or two
  • Bake @ 375 ½ hour or until golden brown
  • Before baking, wipe top with oil.

    Yes, this does freeze well. Thaw, slice and heat in the oven uncovered @ 350 for about 20 minutes.
