Sausage Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 package frozen bread dough(3 loaves)-thawed

3-4 lbs. ground sausage

16-20 oz. package fresh spinach

1 large can crushed tomatoes

1 large chopped onion

grated cheese

olive oil

Directions

Saute onion & sausage until browned & crumbly

Drain excess fat and sprinkle lightly on rolled dough

Break up spinach & sprinkle over sausage

Add a few spoonfuls of smashed tomatoes then top with a little grated cheese

Sprinkle lightly with olive oil

Roll into long loaf, pinch in ends

Let rise on a cookie sheet for an hour or two

Bake @ 375 ½ hour or until golden brown

Before baking, wipe top with oil.

Yes, this does freeze well. Thaw, slice and heat in the oven uncovered @ 350 for about 20 minutes.
