Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425
  • Lightly flour counter top
  • With rolling pin, roll out dough to fit 12x18 baking sheet
  • With pastry brush, oil baking sheet
  • Place dough on baking sheet
  • With pastry brush, oil top of dough
  • Top with layer of marinara sauce
  • Add cheeses to top of sauce
  • Add onions, peppers and meatballs to top of cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes until cheeses are melted and crust is golden brown

    I LOVE the idea of using meatballs on this! I always make way to many when making spaghetti and we always end up making subs. This will be a great alternative...thanks!

    I know this is excellent because for years I did this, too. Back when we lived in NY I'd stop once weekly at my local pizza place and they taught me to leave the dough out to be totally limp and maleable and then top and bake. Heaven.

    Clever lase. Until recently, couldn't buy frozen pizza dough here and it's still expensive as buggery and the quality we get is less than wonderful. Early on, one of the local pizza shops got used to selling the dough and it makes doing a pizza a snap. Thanks for the post. RJ

    Oh, gosh! I never thought of crumbling up meatballs for pizza. I usually keep a bag of meatballs in the freezer for "emergency" dinners. Great idea!
