Delightful Spaghetti Squash

- 1 large spaghetti squash shopping list
- 1 stick of butter ( not margarine ) shopping list
- 1/4 cup-1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Asagio Or romano cheese shopping list
- garlic powder to taste shopping list
- Fresh chopped or dried herbs ( I like Herbs De Provence if I use dried) shopping list
- salt as need and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Cook squash by your favorite method.( Micro, steam, pressure cook etc )
- Normally I cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds and any wet pulp
- I pierce the skin with a knife
- I place skin side up and usually microwave each half till tender may 12 to 15 minutes ( skin side will be shiny and very soft indicating squash is tender )
- I let it cool, then I take the tinges of a fork and scrape out all the strands which are dry and separate nicely into a bowl-
- Now melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Toss in the strands to get coated all over with butter.
- Add herbs of choice, and grated or shredded cheese of choice, garlic if using and cook and stir till cheese is melted and all is hot.
- This makes a wonderful side dish with any meal
- Reheats well too.
