Coffee Chocolate Mousse via Delta Point River Restaurant

- 4 egg yolks shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup Grand Marnier shopping list
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, in chunks shopping list
- 4 tablespoons brewed black coffee shopping list
- 6 ounces butter shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar shopping list
How to make it
- In a double boiler, combine egg yolks, sugar and Grand Marnier.
- Heat until sugar melts thoroughly.
- In a separate pan, melt chocolate and coffee together.
- Add butter a little at a time.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Slowly add confectioners sugar while continuing to beat.
- Combine egg yolk and chocolate mixtures and quickly into whites.
- Mix thoroughly and pour into individual serving dishes.
- Chill 2-4 hours immediately.
- Serve.

I have had this recipe, out of an old cookbook, for years. It is smootha and divine. The kick of booze gives a nice little edge to the flavor but isn't too dominant.
