Baked Fried Shrimp Recipe
This is a "Mr. Food" recipe. I love fried shrimp, but I don't eat deep fried foods often. This helps me with my cravings.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more if you like more spice)
  • 3/4 cup beer (the rest for the cook!)
  • 1 pound medium shirmp, peeled with tails left intact

Directions
  1. Combine flour, salt and cayenne.
  2. Whisk in beer.
  3. Dip shrimp by tails into batter, coating completely.
  4. Place 4 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
  5. Batter will "puddle" around shrimp, That's ok.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve with tartar and/or cocktail sauce.

Oh my gosh! This is great! I have heart disease and can't eat fried foods anymore and I LOVE fried shrimp. I will definitely try this recipe!
