Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs. boneless round steak
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup V-8 juice
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder (can use fresh)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 10 oz. package frozen okra (about 1 1/2 cup)
  • 1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms drained
  • *can add diced tomato*
  • cooked rice

Directions
  1. Cut steak into strips 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches long.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Put meat in crockpot with onion, celery, juice, Worcestershire sauce and garlic.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Turn to high.
  6. Add peppers, partially thawed okra and mushrooms.
  7. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until okra is done.
  8. Serve over hot cooked rice.

This looks wonderful ! I'm all for anything cajun or creole and especially since it's so easy...I think I already have everything except the steak.....and maybe the celery....the V-8, mushrooms & bell pepper...but other than that,I think I have everything ! ;o)))
