Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Mix egg with milk add all at once. Stir only until mixed. Drop by spoonfuls over boiling mixture. Civer and steam 15 minutes before removing lid. Serve at once.

Mmmm sounds delicious! One of the ultimate comfort foods. I love the old cook books. I've posted a couple of favorites from my grandmother's MOMS (Mothers of Methodists) church cookbook from 1948.
