Ingredients

German Hot Potatoe Salad

6 medium potatoes

6 strips of bacon

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup chopped celery

1 chopped dill pickle

1/4 cup water

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 cup vinegar

1/8 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions

Cook potatoes in jackets. (peel) Slice while warm.

Mince bacon and saute in large skillet with onions, celery and pickle.

Combine water, sugar, paprika, vinegar, salt and mustard. Heat to boiling point. Pour into skillet with bacon mixture - then fold in potatoes

Yes, that is great! to sauté the onions with the bacon - great idea, it will be so much easier on the stomach - but not on the hips, because i'll eat more of the salad. thank you for posting!
