Colonial American Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe
A Pumpkin Pie Seasoning more than 200 years old, from a Colonial American cookbook.

Ingredients
  • 4 teaspoons fine ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons fine ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine ground mace
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine ground black pepper

Directions
  1. A traditional Colonial American seasoning for pumpkin pie filling and other pumpkin or sweet potato dishes.
  2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and keep in a sealed container.
  3. Makes 10 teaspoons, enough for several pies or dishes.
