Chrutka Cheese Eggball

- 20 eggs shopping list
- 1 qt. milk shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 /2 cup of sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla (if desired) shopping list
How to make it
- Beat eggs in top of double boiler pot.
- Add milk, salt and sugar & vanilla
- Beat until well blended
- Heat water in bottom pot until comes to a boil then lower to medium heat. Always keep water at slow boil & don't let water boil out
- Place top of double boiler pot onto bottom pot.
- Cook slowly,stirring constantly until thickened.( looks like scrambled eggs)
- Pour into cheese-cloth or cloth bag. Squeeze out water.
- Tie bag with string to form a ball.
- Let hang until all the water drips out.(all day or overnight)
- When dry, remove from bag. Can be eaten warm or cover & keep in refrigerator. Slice to desired thickness.
- You can also rub butter over ball and place on cookie sheet.
- Pre-heat oven to 375 F and bake until lightly brown
