How to make it

  • Preheat oven 200c gas 6
  • Rub flour and butter together till like fine bread crumbs
  • add sugar and egg
  • Mix well form dough into balls about the size of a large walnut
  • Place onto a lined baking tray, press slightly to flatten a little, leaving a gap in between as they may spread a little
  • With the end of a wooden spoon make a dimple in the dough large enough to put one or two blueberries
  • Bake for about 10-15 minutes, taking care not to over cook, they should be very pale golden in colour.
  • Remove and cool
