If you like maple syrup as much as I do, these are yummy.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup bran
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1-1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • Glaze:
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoons margarine
  • 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • Combine ingredients, stirring to blend and spread over warm muffins.

Directions
  1. Combine all muffin ingredients. Stir just until moistened. Spoon into 12 muffin cups (paper lined).
  2. Bake at 400 degrees 18 to 20 minutes.
