How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350-degrees. Grease muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • Stir chocolate and butter in heavy saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  • Remove from heat, stir in prune butter. Cool to lukewarm.
  • In large bowl, with electric mixer on high, mix egg yolks and ¼ cup sugar until very thick and pale, about three minutes.
  • Fold in chocolate mixture and vanilla.
  • Using clean, dry beaters, beat egg whites and remaining sugar in bowl until stiff but not dry, about two minutes.
  • Fold egg-white mixture into chocolate mixture until just combined.
  • Bake 28-30 minutes. Cool completely.
