How to make it

  • Brown ground beef and onion. Drain if necessary. Add salt and pepper.
  • Spray a 9x13 pan and make layers out of the cabbage, rice and beef.
  • Pour tomatoes over the top.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
  • I would keep checking and if it seems dry add some tomato juice or water.

    great recipe..I am a vegetarian so I would leave out the beef but this is outstanding and healthy.

    It's yummy! And was sooooo easy. I had planned on making my version of this in the crockpot that calls for tomato sauce but tried yours instead. Since I didnt have a can of tomatoes I used the tomato sauce and it worked great. I will be making this one again, thanks for sharing!

    Just wanted to check...the rice is uncooked right? I have a similar recipe that cooks in the crockpot but the dry rice takes forever in there. I think I will try this recipe soon, like tomorrow :)

    I make cabbage rolls all the time but the other method which is quite an effort. I will have to use your method next time I make them.
