Southern Pecan Pie Recipe
An old family recipe for Southern Pecan Pie. Always a favorite at holiday feasts.

Ingredients
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 eggs; beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter; melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
  1. Arrange the pecan halves in the pie shell. Mix the other ingredients until well blended and carefully pour over the pecans. Do not overfill the shell. Bake in oven for 30 to 40 minutes until pie tests done. The pecan halves will rise to the surface of the pie as it cooks.
