My Grandma gave me a collection of recipes before she passed away. This one was one of my favorites. I spent some time with her in the kitchen learning how to bake. This recipe brings back some fun memories spent in her kitchen.

Great memory, Michellem - those are always the BEST recipes!

Saving this. Sounds wonderful. I did the same with my grandmom. I was the only one in the family who wanted the recipes. She was from austria/hungary/ yugoslavia...Her stuff is all like pastries nothing simple but oh so delicious.
I love recipes like this thanks for sharing!

Sounds great will try thanks

Ditto for me! I love cinnamon, etc. A few yrs ago I visited th Ellis Island Immigrant museum near the Statue of Liberty, and found a cookbook compiled by a man who acted as a tour guide. People from all over the usa mailed him the recipes they brought from their homeland. Historically and "foodily"it is a treasure.

This recipe reminds me of some of those recipes.

I will save this one. thank you. trish
