Pork Chops and Gravy

- 2 nice pork chops shopping list
- canola oil shopping list
- 2 heaping tablespoon all purpose flour shopping list
- garlic powder shopping list
- kosher salt shopping list
- fresh cracked pepper shopping list
- milk shopping list
How to make it
- Pour enough canola oil for browning in frying pan
- Put pork chops in oil, sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper
- Fry until nice and brown on low heat
- When chops are browned, take out and put in a sprayed casserole dish that has a lid
- Keep enough of the oil and the bits left after browning for the roux
- For the roux, add the flour to the hot oil keeping eye on low.
- Add more pepper as needed
- Stir until roux is a nice peanut butter brown color
- Add milk a little at a time until gravy is the right consistency
- Pour gravy over the pork chops
- Bake at 325 degrees until they are tender.
- Serve with rice, potatoes or egg noodles and a vegetable.
