A great dish for a party or pot-luck...never have I had left overs...everyone loves this salad! Even people who don't normally eat broccoli! For large crowds, just double or triple the recipe.

Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli, chopped (use flowerets only, no stems)
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 3 slices bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled
- 1 cup light mayonnaise
- 1/3 cups Splenda sweetener
- 2 Tbsp vinegar (I use white)
- 1/3 cup 1% lowfat milk
Directions
- Rinse & drain broccoli
- In a large bowl combine broccoli, sunflower seeds, raisins, red onion, and bacon bits
- In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, Splenda, vinegar, and milk; whisk together until thoroughly mixed and sugar is dissolved
- I prefer to add the chilled dressing and toss just before serving the salad but you can add it up to 1 to 2 hours before serving; either way it will be great!
- Eat and enjoy!

I love broccoli salad. I especially enjoy flavors of the fresh crunchy broccoli, red onions and raisins. It really works. I've never had it with sunflower seeds though. Should be healthy! Thank you!

I love broccoli salad! It's a fun recipe because I think everyone makes theirs just a bit differently. A friend of mine mixes broccoli and cauliflower, uses cashews, and mixes grapes and raisins. Yours looks like the 'classic' and I will save it in my collection! Thanks for sharing. - Natalie
