A veggie version sounds good to me! As you can see I am a bacon freak with cabbage, guess it's just the pol-uk in me. Let me know how it turns out and I will add a light version to my repertoire and diet (my cardiologist would love you for it). The bacon is just for the smoke flavor, could be liquid smoke could be a viable sub. Good luck!

Looks really interesting! And, ya know, it could be vegetarian iffen you used butter instead of drippings... ;)

In fact, unless you want to do it, I think I'll work up a vegetarian version and try it out, and post it if it's good. Whatcha think?
