How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease muffin tins or line with paper baking cups.
  • In a large bowl, sift together all the dry ingredients. Make a well in the center of the mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg together with the milk and melted butter, then add the vanilla.
  • Add egg mixture to the dry ingredients along with the chocolate chips, and mix until just moistened.
  • Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each one two-thirds full.
  • Bake until just done, approximately 20 minutes.
