Dainty spice muffins for an autumn brunch. Make as many as you want now, refrigerate batter, bake later. These spicy little bites are moist, because applesauce is one of the ingredients. Oh, delicious.

What a great recipe!! I love applesauce in my muffins, and maybe you already know, but It is possible cut in half the amount of fat in the batter by substituting it for applesauce, eg. in the recipe asks for 1 cup butter you just use 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup applesauce. They will keep their moist because of applesauce, but a lot lighter¡¡
Regards from Spain.

I think these would be delicious with your maple spread.
