Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugars; add flaxseed and set aside.
  • In another small bowl, beat eggs and vanilla together. Combine with flax mixture.
  • Sift together the flour and soda. Mix in oatmeal and combine with other ingredients. Dough should be thick and easily formed into balls with two teaspoons.
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF
  • Place balls of dough on baking sheet, leaving about 2" between cookies.
  • Bake 13 to 15 minutes, watching not to burn top of cookies. The smell at this stage will be delicious....
  • Remove from sheet and arrange on a wire rack until completely cool.
  • Store in an airtight container.

these were okay for me. I used all purpose flour, maybe that was the problem. Also added cinnamon and raisins.
**update** the cookies tasted better the next day. I would give them 4 stars but cannot seem to change the star rating. Thanks for the recipe

I just made these and they are AMAZING! I added alittle bit of choc chips to it and they gave it just enough sweetness. New fave in this house for sure!

Delicious! I added a cup of dried cranberries, which was a nice addition. My only suggestion is I think cinnamon would perfect this recipe. I'm going to add a little next time.

I made these for my husband today. I made them big and just tossed in some raisins because he asked so sweetly. He is not usually one to stuff himself on sweets but he has been sneaking these cookies all day. Great recipe and his old body needs that fiber. Thanks for the post.

I made these tonight. They're so good.I pressed a couple of guittard semisweet chocolate wafers into the middle. A surprise my husband loved. And they still seemed very heathy. Thank you for posting this recipe.

These were fabulous! I added chopped Craisins b/c I like them and also toasted the flaxseeds first...oh...and I accidently put in 1/8 tsp almond extract (a mistake I'll repeat). Sure made a LOT and it's a good thing. I used the black seeds...looked kinda crazy in a healthy sort of way. Everyone that tasted them loved them. Great flavor! Thanks for the recipe!

I take flax seed oil suppliments, but these cookies sound like a much more enjoyable way to me to add flax to my diet! Thank you!
