How to make it

  • Cook or steam cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, green beans and bean sprouts separately until crisp-tender then set aside.
  • Heat oil in heavy skillet then add onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
  • Reduce heat and add stock, peppers, lemon juice, lemon rind, peanut butter, bay leaves, ginger root, salt and soy sauce then simmer 15 minutes.
  • Arrange vegetables on large platter.
  • Top with peanut sauce.

    tambellina1 ate it and said...
    very good. my kids didn't care for it much, even though I didn't use the peppers it was still a bit on the spicy side. I read the ingredients list wrong. and didn't see the semicolon after the "peanut sauce" so I went and bought peanut satay sauce. Lol. it wasn't until I was half way into the cooking of it that I realized my mistake.
    I used cornstarch to thicken the sauce because it was really watery. next time I would use smooth peanutbutter and add some dry roasted peanuts

    ps. it's really good with a dab of Peanut Satay sauce on top

    I think it would be better with ground up peanut sauce without the butter with water spinach, potatoes, lontong (compresed rice), corn. It's pretty much favourite food.
