Shrimp Braised With Tomato Chile Pepper and Capers

- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh jalapeno shopping list
- 1 cup Italian tomatoes with their juice shopping list
- 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined shopping list
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt shopping list
- 1/2 tablespoon capers shopping list
How to make it
- Put oil and chopped onion in a large skillet.
- Turn heat to medium high and cook onion stirring occasionally until pale golden.
- Add chopped garlic then stir and when garlic is fragrant add parsley and chile pepper.
- Stir once or twice then add tomatoes.
- Turn all ingredients over once or twice then reduce heat and cook at a steady simmer.
- When oil floats free from the tomato add shrimp to pan along with salt and capers.
- Turn shrimp over several times to coat well.
- When shrimp have lost their shiny raw color they are done.
- Serve at once with the juices from the pan.
