Black Olive and Rosemary Bread

- 1 1/4 c. water shopping list
- 1 T. olive oil shopping list
- 1 t. salt shopping list
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour shopping list
- 2 1/2 c. bread flour shopping list
- 2 1/4 t. yeast shopping list
- 1/2 c. oil-cured black olives, pitted shopping list
- 2 T. fresh rosemary, coarsely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- For Bread Machine:
- Setting:Basic or French cycle, normal or med. crust.
- Add ingredients in order specified by your manufacturer. Olives and rosemary can be added at the beep, or 5 min. before the end of the last kneading cycle.
- Bread Machine/Oven Combo:
- Setting: dough.
- Add ingredients in order specified by your manufacturer. Olives and rosemary can be added at the beep, or 5 min. before the end of the last kneading cycle.
- When dough cycle complete, remove bread from machine, punch down, shape into smooth log. Cut the log into three equal sections, keeping one end "just" connected. Braid the three ropes. Put on baking stone or into bread pan. Cover with a towel and let rise again, till doubled, about 30-45 min.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Bake for 20-25 min. Cool and serve.
