I use all fresh ingredents for this if possiable.. It does make a diffrence. In the winter I make this as often as once a month! If the tomatoes are not good at the market.. Use a good quality canned.

I might, if I had the time, buy the dried beans and cook them, rather than using the canned. But, nothing wrong with canned!

I made this a couple of weeks ago and it was perfect. The only thing I changed: I sauteed the onions ,celery and carrot in EVOO with some fresh thyme, S & P and then added all other ingredients. Really was great! My family loved it. Thanks.
