Swiss Baked Potatoes Gratin Recipe

These potatoes rock
* I always buy an extra potato or two because I I'm not so good at the thin slices.

Ingredients
- 6 baking potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- cooking spray
- 1 ¼ thinly sliced onion
- 1 ½ tsp freshly ground pepper, divided
- ¾ tsp salt, divided
- ½ cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
- ¾ cup beef broth
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Coat dish with cooking spray
- Arrange 1/3 of potatoes on bottom
- Top with 1/3 onion slices
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Add 1/3 of the cheese
- Repeat layers twice, ending with cheese
- Dot with butter and pour broth over evenly
- Coat top layer with cooking spray
- Bake covered for 30 minutes or until tender
