How to make it

  • In a medium sauce pan,over medium-high heat,combine lemon zest,lemon juice and sugar,bring to a boil;reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes
  • add butter and stir till melted and combined
  • remove from heat and let cool to room temperture
  • beat eggs into mixture until well blended
  • return to heat and cook over medium hear,stirring constantly,10 to 15 minutes or until mixture thickens to coat a spoon
  • remove from heat and cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour
