We absolutely love it. Don't know how many people do. If I wanna treat our friends and family, I usually make this dish.

The ingredients
Cook the pickled ton
Peel off the hard sk
Slice, put in dish
Mix the rest
Pour over tongue
Sprinkle crumbs over
Bake
Until golden brown

Ingredients
- 125 ml sugar (1/2 cup)
- 2,5 ml salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- 10 ml dry mustard (2 teaspoons)
- 25 ml cornstarch (2 tablespoons)
- 250 ml water (1cup)
- 25 ml oil (2 tablespoons)
- 62,5 ml vinegar (1/4 cup)
- 1 pickled beef tongue, raw
- Breadcrumbs.
Directions
- Boil the tongue for about 2 hours in water until soft.
- Take off the hard skin.
- Cut into slices.
- Put in rows into a greased ovenproof dish.
- Mix all of the rest together.
- Pour over.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs over.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes at 170 degreesC ( 340 degrees F).
- Serve hot.

I still remember well the first time I ate tongue. I was about 12 or so and kept telling my mother how good the 'roast beef' was. I ate a lot of it then after I was finished with dinner Mom told me it was tongue. It freaked me out a little but didn't scare me off. I ate the stuff for years and loved it. :) I don't eat it anymore but if I did, I'd try your recipe!
