Gaelic Steak Recipe
This is an Irish steak...delicious I got this recipe from Recipezaar... I have not made this but intend to very soon....

Ingredients
  • 4 Sirloin steaks (8 oz each room temp)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1/4 cup Irish Whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • sea salt to taste

Directions
  1. Dry steaks with a paper towel and season with black pepper.
  2. Heat butter and oil in a frying pan and add steaks.
  3. Cook steaks until your preferred doneness, turning only once.
  4. Return steaks to a warm plate and pour off excess fat from pan.
  5. Return pan to stove and add whiskey.
  6. Stir, being sure to scrape up drippings from bottom of pan.
  7. Reduce heat and add cream.
  8. Simmer for a few minutes until cream thickens.
  9. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Pour over steaks and serve immediately.

What a lovely recipe. There is something special about a touch of whiskey and cream over steak. It becomes something very rich and flavorful. YUM
