How to make it

  • Dry steaks with a paper towel and season with black pepper.
  • Heat butter and oil in a frying pan and add steaks.
  • Cook steaks until your preferred doneness, turning only once.
  • Return steaks to a warm plate and pour off excess fat from pan.
  • Return pan to stove and add whiskey.
  • Stir, being sure to scrape up drippings from bottom of pan.
  • Reduce heat and add cream.
  • Simmer for a few minutes until cream thickens.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour over steaks and serve immediately.

What a lovely recipe. There is something special about a touch of whiskey and cream over steak. It becomes something very rich and flavorful. YUM
