How to make it

  • In a food processor, coarsely chop pecans and chips.
  • Put into a large bowl and set aside.
  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and whipping cream.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Cool until slightly thickened, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Dip each pretzel into caramel mixture, covering about 1/3 of the pretzel. Let caramel drip off slightly.
  • Spoon or roll the chopped nut-and-chip mixture onto the caramel pretzel.
  • Let stand on wax paper or foil until caramel is set.
  • Wrap in cellophane and tie with bow!
  • Keep in a cool place!

this looks great! I go to the local candy supply store and pick up the cellophane pretzel rod bags for my rods (that would sound vulgar,if I were a guy) LOL! Thanks..will try this this holiday season with the grandkids.

Hey, I'm gonna have to re-join Sam's Club...they're coming up with some fantastic recipes! Costco just handed out their cookbook last weekend, so I'll have to look thru that and see if they came up with anything this good sounding - thanks Linda!

These sound great! I'd have to make them without the nuts as well though, but they'd be a hit nonetheless.
