Thanks Bear, it is wonderful...

Does sound good......Im in the mood to make cookies...

As I said, I am not a baker, but I may have to try these...love almonds, butter, flour and sugar together. :o)

This recipe looks very familiar. I am almost positive they were part of our traditional family baking at Christmas. Thank you for submitting it.

I just drooled on myself! i was thinking about the raw dough.

Butter-Sugar--How can anyone go wrong?thanks for the recipe

I don't get it... do i stack the 2 doughs/eggwhite on top of each other to make one thick block. or am I suppposed to have 2 thin lots at the end?

I just made these last night. After browsing web at Jan Hagel recipes, they vary a bit.I used 1/2 white & 1/2 brown sugar. My advice is to score before baking,(I used a 15X10 jelly roll pan)Once out of oven cut through, but let cool in pan.I had to figure that out myself. But they are very pretty and catch people's eye!

And oh yeah,my recipe that started my quest was Land O lakes too.I also added vanilla and only one egg.In case ya only have one egg in fridge ;)

Hey,yes it was funny to see you had a recipe for these too.I gave some to my mechanic today, and got a huge discount & a big smile.( He's had my cookies before !)
