Ingredients
  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1 tbsp grated orange peel
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange jice
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions
  1. Measure pecans into glass bowl. Add orange peel
  2. Combine sugar, juice and milk in a large saucepan. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved and mixgture is boiling.Boil without stirring, until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234 - 240 degrees) on a candy thermometer or until small amount dropped into very cold water forms soft ball that flattens of its own accord when removed.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour over pecan mixture.
  5. Stir until stiffened.
  6. Pour out onto geased baking sheet.
  7. Separate into single pieces.
  8. Cool completely
