Croissant Pudding with Caramel Sauce

- croissant PUDDING: shopping list
- 5 large croissants, cut crosswise into 1/2 inch rounds shopping list
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 c sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 c milk shopping list
- 1 t almond extract shopping list
- 1 t vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 c pecans, chopped shopping list
- CARAMEL SAUCE: shopping list
- 1 c brown sugar, firmly packed shopping list
- 1 c whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2 c butter shopping list
- 1 c pecans, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- PUDDING:
- Butter a 9" pie plate. Layer the croissant rounds. Whisk together the eggs, sugar, milk, and etracts. Pour over croissants and sprinkle with pecans
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, or until set. Serve warm, with caramel sauce
- CARAMEL SAUCE:
- in medium saucepan combine brown sugar, whipping cream and butter. Bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occaisionally. Stir in pecans and serve over warm croissant pudding.
