How to make it

  • Heat up the sesame oil in a wok on medium heat.
  • Add ginger , stir fry until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the chicken pieces and stir fry until it' change color, around minutes. add sugar to caramelize.
  • add goji berries, soy sauce, rice wine and Bring to a boil, cook uncovered,
  • add more rice wine if you like
  • Serve with rice.

    Gday! Do you use the goji berries that look/feel like nuts or are these dried and reconstituted? Have any other recipes that include goji berries as I would genuinely like to try to use them in various recipes. Thank you!

    thanks patty, I think I should add oriental basil in this recipe, it'll taste a lot better.
    my aunt adds goji berries and gallons of rice wine in her 3 cups chicken, it's good

    Usually oriental basil/Thai basil is added to this dish... You should try adding some. There's a big difference :D

    The goji berries is an interesing addition. I'll try it next time I make this dish :)

    this dish tastes good, and chinese believe that because of the sesame oil and ginger and chiken it's good for our health. the original recipe doesn't use goji berries but my friend's mom add goji berries in her 3 cup chicken, it's great. goji berries is availabble at chinese herb store or asian stores, and yes low salt soy sauce works perfect for this recipe, try and good luck

    it's rich tasting and it's great with steamed rice. my grandma says that goji berries are good for eyes, sesame oil and ginger are good for our body in winter especially for women :)

    Sounds very interesting....I can't imagine that much sesame oil, but with the vinegar and soy sauce??? I'll bet it all balances out. TY, NakedChef.

    That sounds just amazing - and I LOVE goji berries! I like to add them in my salads or cookies, but never thought of adding them to my meat sauces. I hope to try this one very soon...great post - thank you!
