Here's a lovely recipe for walnuts frosted in a sweet sour cream coating. There's always a crystal bowl of these in my house during the holiday season. I make bags of these to take to the school for the teachers and office staff.

Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 4 cups of whole and halved walnuts
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles
Directions
- In a large saucepan, bring sugar and sour cream to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in vanilla extract and walnut halves and pieces; stir until coating sets.
- Spread on cooking sheet to cool.
- * Before the nuts set, you can sprinkle them with chocolate sprinkles or holiday-colored sprinkles of your choice.
