Norwegian Meatballs

- 1lb. chuck or round beef ,chopped shopping list
- 1 small onion,diced shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1T flour(approx) shopping list
- 1/4t nutmeg shopping list
- 1t salt Dash of pepper shopping list
- 1/2c milk shopping list
How to make it
- Mix beef well and put by Tbsp.(1ball) into melted margarine and brown well
- Remove balls from pan and make gravy,using 3-4T of drippings,2T flour,21/2 c water,2 bouillon cubes,salt,pepper and a little onion powder.
- When gravy is made to your taste,on the thin side,put meatballs back in pan and cover. Cook for about 45 mins.

I've been making this recipe for years. It is my mom's favourite. She can polish it off easily by herself, I find it a bit rich as I use chicken stock mixed with milk. I am going to try your version

Have you perhaps got a norwegian recipe and the main ingredients are: veal, pureed tuna with cape, mustard etc. I had that recipe but lost it during a move when all my cartons went miss...moretinadc in Cape Town loved it
