How to make it
- -Grandma's Way-
- Cook the hamburger and the onion until the onion is translucent and the meat is cooked. Season it with salt and pepper. She cooked it in big chunks.
- Add water to the meat, bring it to a boil.
- Add the macaroni, cook until over done.
- They got big and soft.
- She was done. This was so good, until I was old enough to watch her, I make it my way now.

- -My Way-
- Cook the beef and onions together until done, make sure the onions are medium diced. You could also use ground turkey if you prefer. Well, any meat that you prefer actually, I want to try ground rabbit, best meat protein in the world!
- Cook the noodles until they are almost done, we like a firm noodle. I add salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and italian seasoning to the water so all these flavors get cooked into the noodles as I cook them.
- Drain the noodles.
- You may also drain the meat at this point if you like, I personally have learned that a little fat is good for you and I use lean meat so I tend to not rinse the meat anymore.
- Place back into the pan.
- Add a can or two of diced tomatoes, or fresh tomatoes if you have them!!! YUM! OR Ro-Tel because I am a tomato freak!!! And I like it a touch spicy! LOL!
- Add a can of beef broth, or homemade bone broth would work as well.
- Season to taste, italian seasoning, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder... your choice.
