Ingredients
  • 1 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups flour(maida)
  • Milk as required
  • 4 tsps chopped pistachios/almonds

Directions
  1. Preheat oven at 180 C.
  2. In a large bowl,beat ghee and sugar until creamy.
  3. Add baking powder and mix.
  4. Gradually work in the flour.Mix gently with hands until it comes together.
  5. Dust with flour and roll out on a floured surface.
  6. Using a round cutter,cut into 30 rounds.
  7. Lift onto greased baking sheet.
  8. Dip a fingertip in a little milk and dab on the centre of each cookie.
  9. Now sprinkle a few pistachios/almonds bits on top of each cookie.
  10. Bake 10-11 minutes until the milk turns light golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a minute.
  12. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  13. Note:Warm ghee just a little, not too liquid, but soft enough so it can mix with the flour.

Ghee,Ghee,Ghee..One of the best flavoring fats added in a dessert.I am sure they will even melt in your hand.We call them Ghorayeba in Egypt and they are irresistable.thanks for sharing.
