Mix in condenced mil


Mix in flour, powder

Ingredients
  • 250 g soft butter (1 cup; 250 ml)
  • 100 ml castor sugar (1/4 cup + 4 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 can condensed milk
  • 750 ml cake flour (3 cups)
  • 10 ml baking powder (2 teaspoons)
  • 5 ml vanilla extract (essence) 1 teaspoon

Directions
  1. Beat sugar and butter until creamy.
  2. Beat in the condensed milk.
  3. Sift flour and powder together.
  4. Mix flour mixture into the butter mixture.
  5. Lastly mix in the vanilla.
  6. Mix well until a soft dough forms.
  7. Put into cookie press.
  8. You can roll into small balls and press down on them with a fork if you don't have a cookie press.
  9. Press or put onto a greased baking tray.
  10. Bake at 180 deg C (360 deg F) for 15 minutes or when it starts to brown.
  11. Let it cool down.
  12. Put into a cookie jar.

As the cookies rest on the cooling rack, I thought I'd drop a note. I like the flavor and they are very easy to make. I only used 2-1/2 cups flour, and I think 1-1/2 baking powder would be enough. They have a very light "soda" taste, which is still fine. Thanks for sharing!
