How to make it

  • In a heavy skillet, brown ground beef, 2 cups chopped onion, until beef is cooked and the onion is soft (about 10 minutes)
  • Drain
  • Stir catsup, chili powder into mixture, and combine well
  • Cook over medium low heat until thickened, (about 10 minutes)
  • Spoon into a chafing dish or serving dish
  • Sprinkle top with 2 cups grated cheese, top with about 1 tablespoon of remaining onion
  • The remainder of onion and cheese can be placed in separate bowls, so that guests can help themselves
  • Keep large corn chips nearby for great dipping :)
