Beef Broccoli

- MARINADE: shopping list
- (see stir-fry sauce) shopping list
- 1/4 lb to 1/2 lb skirt steak or flank steak, thinly sliced shopping list
- INGREDIENTS: shopping list
- 3 tsp sesame oil shopping list
- 2 tbsp of oyster sauce shopping list
- 1 tbsp of sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp salt or to taste shopping list
- pinch of black pepper shopping list
- 2 tbsp on cornstarch (mix well in 2 tbsp water) shopping list
- 2 glove of garlic crushed shopping list
- 1/2 lb broccoli florets, approximately 3-4 cups shopping list
How to make it
- Slice the beef into thin strips of approximately 2 inch wide.
- Place the beef into a bowl and add the stir-fry mixer. Mix well and cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or over night
- In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and drop in the broccoli florets. Quickly blanch the broccoli ( do not over cook) cook, approximately 1 minute. When the broccoli has turned bright green, drain the broccoli in a colander and soak in cold ice water. Set aside until use.
- In a work or frying pan, add oil and garlic cook until aromatic. Add the meat and quickly stir, cooked approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
- Then add drained broccoli and all other ingredients, except cornstarch, stir and mix well with the sauce and heat through, which should take approximately 2 minutes. Add cornstarch a little at a time to thickness in sauce. Serve immediately with Jasmine rice.
- *Note: carrot and water chesnut can be add, if desire.
