Frosted Texas Sheetcake

- 1 Cup butter shopping list
- 1 C water shopping list
- 1/4 C cocoa shopping list
- 2 Cups sugar shopping list
- 2 Cups flour shopping list
- 1/8 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- frosting shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1/4 + 2 T milk shopping list
- 4 1/2 cups SIFTED powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp real vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Combine butter, water and cocoa in a saucepan over medium heat; heat until butter melts. Add sugar, flour, salt, eggs, soda, sour cream and vanilla, mix well. Pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 bar pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Spread frosting over hot cake:

- For frosting, combine butter, coca and milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients and beat well with electric mixer. Spread over HOT sheet cake.. Sprinkle with pecans or coconut if desired.

Sounds like the one I had at the hospital when I worked there, one of the nurses brought it in during lent, I froze a piece to have later. Wonderful cake, thanks for the post.
