Orange Pound Cake

- 2 cups butter shopping list
- 4 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. grated orange rind shopping list
- 6 large eggs shopping list
- 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. mace shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1 cup apricot jam, strained shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. shredded orange peel, for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add Powdered Sugar and rind, cream thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Combine the dry ingredients and add gradually to butter mixture. Add orange juice and combine thoroughly. Turn into buttered and floured ten-inch tube pan. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for fifty to sixty minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and cake is golden brown. Cool for five minutes. Turn onto wire rack and cool thoroughly. Brush with jam and top with orange peel.
