Grilled Jerk Shrimp With Creamy Tomatillo Sauce Recipe
These are wonderful for your backyard parties...serve as appetizers or the main course.. These could also be done at a tailgate party. Use your favorite jerk seasoning. Another good Southern Living recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds unpeeled, large fresh shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon jerk seasoning (your favorite kind)
  • 1 can tomatillo salsa (7 oz)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup minced sweet onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions
  1. Peel shrimp, devein, if desired.
  2. Place shrimp in a heavy duty zip top plastic bag; add jerk seasoning.
  3. Seal and shake to coat; chill one hour.
  4. Thread seasoned shrimp onto skewers.
  5. Grill, covered with lid, over medium heat (350 to 400)
  6. 2 minutes on each side.
  7. Stir together salsa and next 5 ingredients,
  8. Serve with shrimp.
  9. Garnish with jalapeno slices or clintro sprigs, if desired.
