Superb Frozen Margarita recipe. Everyone loves these and says they are as good or better than any restaurants serve. Great for your next party, Just watch out for the Everclear - its sneaky.
Ingredients
- 300 ml Sauza margarita mix (or your favorite mixer just use 1/3 of the standard amount for a full blender) shopping list
- 3 oz frozen limeade shopping list
- 2 small limes shopping list
- 100 ml gold tequila shopping list
- 50 ml Everclear shopping list
- 50 ml triple sec shopping list
- 1 Tbs Contreau per glass shopping list
- Margarita salt to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Sqeeze limes into blender
- combine all other ingredients EXCEPT the Contreau into the blender
- half fill blender with ice and blend - if you completely fill the blender with ice at first it will be difficult get a smooth consistency.
- fill the rest of the blender with ice and blend until smooth. do this with the top off and use a spoon to push any ice chunks down.
- if you like salted rims, rub lime juice around the rim of the glass and then dip the glass in margarita salt.
- pour the margarita in the glasses and float the Contreau on top.
