Ingredients
- 2 c cornmeal
- 1 T flour
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 3 T onions, minced
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 egg, beaten
- Crisco oil
Directions
- Combine cornmeal, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add onion and mix with buttermilk.
- Stir in egg.
- Drop by a teaspoon full into hot oil and fry 10 minutes or until golden brown.
