Ingredients

How to make it

  • In microwave safe bowl melt butter on High 30 seconds.
  • Add flour. Whisk together.
  • Microwave on High 30 seconds.
  • Very slowly pour milk into flour mixture while whisking.
  • Heat in microwave 1 minute on High.
  • Stir with whisk and return to microwave one minute on High. (Do this until thick.)
  • Pour cheese in bowl and stir.
  • Microwave 30 seconds.
  • Enjoy!

    I also recommend given it 30 second after you add the flour, to cook out some of the flour taste. This is also good with pasta, for a quick homemade mac n cheese!

    I have made my white sauces in microwave for years. It is just so much simpler and always comes out perfect no matter whether want thin or thick sauce. This sounds really good and will try it soon. Thanks for the post.
