Microwave Cheese Sauce Recipe

Twenty-five years ago I bought my first microwave. With it ,came complimentary cooking classes. This cheese sauce is delicious and perfect poured over steamed cauliflower and broccoli. Quick and easy.

Ingredients
- 2 T. Butter
- 2 T. Flower
- 1 C. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 C. Milk
Directions
- In microwave safe bowl melt butter on High 30 seconds.
- Add flour. Whisk together.
- Microwave on High 30 seconds.
- Very slowly pour milk into flour mixture while whisking.
- Heat in microwave 1 minute on High.
- Stir with whisk and return to microwave one minute on High. (Do this until thick.)
- Pour cheese in bowl and stir.
- Microwave 30 seconds.
- Enjoy!

I also recommend given it 30 second after you add the flour, to cook out some of the flour taste. This is also good with pasta, for a quick homemade mac n cheese!
