This is great meal any time...goes well with baked potatoe and garlic bread...salad....My family loves this.

Ingredients
  • 1 whole frying chicken
  • 1 can, 12 oz. beer
  • 1/2 med to small potato
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (Slap yo mama )
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions
  1. Rub your chicken with your Cayenne pepper /or Slap yo mama and salt and black pepper or your favorite seasoning ...then continue to cook as followed below:
  2. Preheat grill to medium-hot temperature.(300 degrees)
  3. Put some water into the roasting pan
  4. then open a can of beer and carefully sit the chicken on top of the open can
  5. and set both the can and the chicken in the roasting pan on the grill (make sure you have previously removed the chicken's gizzardsand liver and neck )
  6. .Place the 1/2 small / med potato into the neck area opening of the Chicken. (place the potato from the top of the chicken Not from inside of the chicken)
  7. The beer will bubble and boil during cooking, basting the bird from the inside.
  8. Bird should be cooked in about an hour. Throw away the potato and beer when chicken is done......( remember beer can is hot so do not touch it with hands..)
  9. .
  10. Do not baste your chicken this will cause it to burn....
